It should be noted the while the concept for the books originated with the duchess, who was inspired by the Poison Garden at Alnwick Castle, the Northumberland ancestral seat, the books will be written by Maryrose Wood. It is said that the series will be aimed at young adults. The first tale is to be published in 2010.

In 2007, the Duchess of Northumberland and Colin Stimpson collaborated on a book called THE POISON DIARIES.

The Duke and Duchess of Northumderland Want a CEO

The Duke and Duchess of Northumberland are seeking an experienced CEO with Disney experience to run their family home, Alnwick Castle. The need for a CEO who understands the strategic and profitable potential of a country home is becoming increasingly important in this very important industry.

Alnwick is also up against Woburn Abbey & Blenheim Palace, among others. If the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland are successful, will it ensure the future of Alnwick? Some may say it's true that Disney has a unique slant on customer service, but can this translate into the stately home sector?

We'll keep you posted on this story.
