The Scotsman has just reported that Scotland's clan chiefs are to meet at the Scottish Parliament for the first time. More than 100 clan chieftans will travel from all over the world for this event. The gathering is to take place on July 24, 2009 in Edinburgh.
Lord Jamie Sempill (right) says this meeting is "a defining moment". After Scotland's bloody history, one could say that Lord Sempill is right!
Those who may be in attendance are: Earl of Elgin, the Duke of Argyll and the Duke of Buccleuch, among others.
